Adewakun Family Annual Prayer and Fasting – year 2015

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus.

Praise the Lord that we are alive to be part of this year’s Adewakun Family prayer and fasting program.

Prayer Day is Wednesday, September 2, 2015

Time: 12 am to 6 pm

Bible Passage for our prayer: Psalm 121

Psalm 121

A song of ascents.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
    where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
    the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip—
    he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord watches over you—
    the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
    nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all harm—
    he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
    both now and forevermore.

** You may personalize this psalm to yourself and to the family.

Preparation:

What is your relationship with the Word of God?

Please pray sincerely to your God:

O Lord, your word abides forever

Please help me to overcome all obstacles by your word

Jehovah, may your word be alive in my heart and mouth

Lord, when I am challenged by your word please guide me

Lord, please save me from false teaching and fake teachers

Lord of all, grant me divine understanding of your word

That I may enjoy divine relationship with you

Keep me in the dictates of your word that I may not fall

Thank you Lord for your word shall never fail

Thank you Lord for your Word that created me and the world

Thank you for your word that became man to save and redeem me

Thank you Lord for the gift of word. Amen

Our word for the week – Philippians 2: 12 – 16a: “Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.”[c] Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.”
